Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Canada Compliance AI ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

Canada Compliance AI provides compliance management software for Canadian businesses, including:

• PIPEDA, CASL, Quebec Law 25, and AODA compliance tools
• Self-assessment questionnaires and readiness scoring
• Compliance audit logs and a PIPEDA breach register
• Regulatory knowledge base and guidance

3. Subscription Plans and Billing

Plans

Annual plans are billed upfront and cost the equivalent of ten monthly payments (two months free), with the rate locked for the 12-month term. All prices in Canadian Dollars (CAD), before tax; GST/HST and applicable provincial tax are added at checkout.

Free Trial

Every paid plan begins with a 14-day free trial (credit card on file). Cancel anytime during the trial and you will not be charged.

Refund Policy

See Refund Policy for full details:

• Monthly plans: No refunds for partial months; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• Annual plans: Full refund within 30 days of purchase; after 30 days annual plans are non-refundable, and access continues until the end of the term

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to violate any Canadian or provincial law
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
• Upload malware, viruses, or malicious code
• Scrape, spider, or harvest user data
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without written permission
• Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited commercial emails (CASL violation)
• Interfere with the Service's operation or security

Violation of this policy may result in immediate termination without refund.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Canadian law:

1. No Consequential Damages: We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.
2. Liability Cap: Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid in the 12 months before the claim.
3. No Guarantees: The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
4. Regulatory Compliance: We do not guarantee that use of the Service will ensure compliance with PIPEDA, CASL, Quebec Law 25, AODA, or any other regulation. You are responsible for your own compliance and should consult legal counsel.

7. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Alberta.
